Hi! My name is Jamie Via and I am a “townie”! I have lived in the city of Charlottesville or one of the surrounding county for over 30 years. I am the Principal Broker/Owner of Brick & Mortar Realty and Owner/Designer of our sister company, Brick & Mortar Interiors. I started my own real estate firm in 2018 after holding an Associate Broker license with a different company for 5 years prior. I have always been an entrepreneur working in service industries and truly love helping people. A lot of people who know me say I am a jack of all trades. Prior to Real Estate, I owned and operated a full time wedding and portrait photography business. I also have been teaching at a local fitness studio, Pure Barre, for over 8 years, and find much joy in seeing people succeed in their goals. I’ve managed restaurants, designed websites, helped colleagues start businesses, and am a mama (hardest/most rewarding job of all). I am passionate about every project I am involved in, and live by “anything worth doing is worth doing well”.
When it comes to real estate, I try to bring fun energy to my clients and the process. I love the challenge of finding the perfect home for you, whether it be your first home, forever home, or an investment property. I really enjoy working with first time home buying clients as well as veterans, and helping everyone navigate the ever changing and sometimes extremely complicated home buying process! I actually love juggling all of the balls and then watching them fall into place at the settlement table!
I love (read “am obsessed with”) interior design, which is why we started a sister design-build company with my business parter Katie Hart. I love helping sellers list their homes and offering advice on how to make their homes more competitive in today’s market through staging or even renovations. Being local and knowing a lot of talented people in the area, I feel that I have a trusted team of local contractors, inspectors, artists, and craftsman I can tap into when needed to get you top dollar for your listing!
Of course, on a personal level, my family is the most important thing. We live on a small farmette in Palmyra, VA, east of Charlottesville. My husband is an LEO with the City of Charlottesville, and between us we have three kiddos ages 13,13, and 4. We also have horses as well as two pups, Mac the Basset and Murphy (Mac has his own Instagram page if you’re so inclined @Mac.the.Basset).

Jamie was excellent. She made herself available to answer any of my countless questions.
